If you have an injury or illness that needs immediate attention but is not serious enough to require an emergency room visit, you can get attention on the same day. You should always call your clinic first, to see if you can get in to see your regular doctor.
The Adult Urgent Care on the Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) hospital campus moved on February 21, 2019 from Building 80 to Building 5, 1st floor (unit 1E).
For a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, we have services available to support you and your family.

During business hours
When you call, follow the prompts to speak with our Nurse Advice Line. Nurses are available to provide you with care Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM. If needed, your nurse may schedule you with an appointment at your clinic or with a provider over the telephone.
When your clinic is closed
When you call, you will be transferred to an after-hours service. If needed, an on-call doctor from your clinic will be available to speak with you.
While it is always best to contact your primary care clinic first for urgent care needs, we also have three Urgent Care locations available.
The ZSFG Urgent Care Center and the ZSFG Pediatric Urgent Care Center welcome anyone in San Francisco needing urgent medical care. In order to be seen at the Tom Waddell Urgent Care Center you must be a patient at one of our 14 primary care clinics.
ZSFG Adult Urgent Care Center
415-206-8000
As of February 21, 2019, the Adult Urgent Care has moved from Building 80 to Building 5, 1st floor, (unit 1E) on the Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) hospital campus. The Center is open every day, year round, including holidays.
The Adult Urgent Care Center cares for patients 18 years and older. You do not need to be a patient at a San Francisco Health Network primary care clinic to go to Adult Urgent Care. If you cannot get an appointment with your Primary Care Health Center, the Adult Urgent Care Center welcomes anyone in San Francisco needing same-day urgent medical care for illnesses or injuries that are not life-threatening, including:
- cough or sore throat
- nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
- joint or muscle pain
- infection
- asthma
