Field Public Health Nursing and Nurse Family Partnership
You want the healthiest start for your baby… Let us help you get there! If you are pregnant or have a baby, a public health nurse is available for home visits. Your public health visiting nurse will provide you and your family with support, information and resources. All services are voluntary and free.

Your nurse may…
- talk with you about getting prenatal care, and preparing for labor
- talk with you about how to take care of your newborn, and share positive parenting tips

- help you with breastfeeding
- weigh your baby
- check your baby’s development
- help you manage your day to day stress
Nurse Family Partnership Program is for women who are pregnant with their first child, in their first or second trimester (less than 28 weeks), and meets income requirements.
La Field Public Health Nursing Program is for all pregnant or postpartum women living in San Francisco, including those who already have children.
Our nurses speak multiple languages and can use interpreter services.
Nurse Home Visiting Programs are committed to provide quality health care and services for all San Franciscans, regardless of immigration or insurance status.
